Easter Drama

I'm glad to be able to be in part of the Life Chapel's Easter Production this year.
We did a drama called Mystery Files : Missing at Dawn.
I personally like the script a lot and think it's really brilliant.
Sometimes we as christian are just so familiar with this easter story that we don't ask more question or have the attitude to find out more in details.
We just believe as it is.
To be able to look at this easter story in the eyes of a non-believer trying to find any loopholes of this stories really makes me believe 110% our God is a true and living God, worthy to be praised!

I'm playing the role of Salome, one of the women who went to the tomb and found Jesus' body missing.
I'm to act how panic she was to find that Jesus is missing and asked help from the private investigator Sam Spade to look for Jesus' body.
I'm not a pro in acting! It took me quite a bit to figure out how to get into this character and play this character well.
Of course, thanks to all my friends and fellow teammates (especially Jessica & Mun Onn) who has guided me a lot.

Well... 2 more things I'll like to share here that really helps me to meditate and get into that character and that scenario.
First, is this particular song which really touches me.

We worship at your feet
Come and see, come and see
Come and see the King of love
See the purple robe and crown of thorns he wears
Soldier mocks, rulers sneer
As he lifts the cruel cross
Lone and friendless now, he climbs towards the hill

We worship at your feet
Where wrath and mercy meet
And a guilty world is washed
By love's pure stream
For us, he was made sin
O help me take it in
Deep wounds of love cry out:
"Father, forgive"
We worship, we worship
The Lamb who was slain

Come and weep, come and mourn
For your sin that pierced him there
So much deeper than the wounds of thorn and nail
All our pride, all our greed
All our fallenness and shame
And the Lord has laid the punishment on him

Man of heaven, born to earth
To restore us to your heaven
Here we bow in awe beneath your searching eyes
From your tears comes our joy
From your death our life shall spring
By your resurrection power we shall rise

Secondly, is the thought of waking up in the morning and realize that Jesus is no longer in my life.
This thought really scares me and wakes me up.
Sometimes I just take it for granted knowing that God will always be there for me and with me.
Never thought of having a day without God in my life.
It's rather difficult to understand how Salome felt when she didn't see Jesus in the tomb, as we all know that He has risen.
But to try to think one day Jesus went missing in our life just like that, wow... I really can't imagine how will that be and what to do next...
This thought help me to get into the character, as well as help me to appreciate Him more in my life, not to take Him for granted, like only go to Him when I'm in need.

Really thank God for this drama that I'm able to be involved in.
I really learnt a lot from it.
Thank God that it also touched a few non-believers heart to come to Him.
It's just so amazing to see how God works.

Inter-Department Netball Tournament

My company had an Inter-Department Netball Tournament last Monday.
Being one of the youngest, when my colleagues approached me, I said yes.

All these while I always think I'm not the princess kind of girl.
I like outdoor activities.
I like hiking, kayaking, white water rafting and things like that.
I'm not afraid of being under the sun or sweat.
I like challenging myself to do things, especially things that seem impossible.
Like the motto that I hold on to "We can only know Who We Are until We See What We Can Do".

But... this tournament makes me looks like/feels like I'm such a weak girlie girl.
Oh boy... I think I'm seriously not suitable in competition like this.
My mindset just doesn't allow me to play like they do.
Once the match starts, they just go into the court, trying all their ways to get the ball over to the poll.
So rough! They'll just do anything, even if they need to knock the opponent down!
Ah... I can't do that.
The opponent who is in-charged of guarding me was standing real next to me, she's bigger size than me and she just didn't want to make way at all. She can come so near me that I almost knocked down by her, but when I went near her, I just couldn't make myself purposely knock her or push her.
Haih... I'm really lousy!

Throughout the whole game (3 matches), I couldn't understand why are they so serious about the game.
It's just a game, it doesn't matter who win, afterall the most important thing is everybody has fun!
(I know many people will not agree with this statement, but... it's just me!)
Honestly speaking, I didn't enjoy the game at all.
I didn't like it when they shouted at their own teammates for not catching the ball properly, for not passing the ball properly, for walking when they are holding the ball, for letting other people grabbed their ball.... the list goes on and on....
So... obviously... I didn't play like how they played.

This is the first time I did something with my colleagues in Sunway Hotel.
Now, their impression about me is that I'm so small and weak.
I eat too little and I have to eat more.
They want to toughen me for any other next tournaments.
They say I have to have more confident and not to scared of others.
Huh... well... only those who really know me knows that all the above comments doesn't fit me at all.
I didn't bother to explain myself or to prove other wise.
I guess... pointless...

Anyway, I got to know myself after this tournament too.
I know that I can't join competition like this.
My mindset just doesn't allow me to.
I better stick with those activities which are not so competitive because I don't think with my mindset my teammates will be happy with me.
Haha... coz I don't mind losing as long as everybody have fun!

Hooray! No more ACCA!

I have been sitting for this same paper for 5 sittings already.
5 sittings = 2 and a half years!
I almost gave up!
But thank God, I passed this time round.
I never thought that I will pass.
I thought I did badly this time round.
Well... when again it proves me wrong that it's not me who controls things but He Almighty!
God has been really good to me!

Of course, I have to thank to my parents, paying for my exam fees, forcing me to sit for the exam again and again. If not because of them, I would not have finished it!
Thanks to all my friends who have been praying real hard for me for years!
Without all your support, I wouldn't have finished it!
Now to think of it, it's still kinda hard to believe that I actually finished ACCA.
It seems to be such a long journey, but yet I have finished it!
It seems to be so impossible at a point of time, but yet... NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE with God!

FINALLY...

It has been a long while since I last updated my blog.

Argghhh.... find it so difficult to construct a proper sentence or to express my thoughts now.
Too long didn't write.
Where to start... hmmm... let see...

December
Well, I was busy with exam in December last year.
After exam, busy with the Youth Camp in Cameron Highlands.
Then, busy shopping for Christmas present. First time doing Christmas shopping with Weng Soon.
It was fun and got to know him a lot better.
My family came down to celebrate Christmas here in PJ with me.
Spent time with them, bringing them to Sunway Lagoon.
Then, went to Genting Highlands for our YF Staff so-called retreat cum planning for year 2009.

January
Getting more comfortable sharing and talking with Weng Soon.
Spending lots of time with him. :-p
Busy organizing makan session with friends like Cheng Yee, LynnSay, Kin Ming and etc.
Went back home for CNY for 9 days!

February
My brother Andrew came over to stay with me for almost 10 days.
Life without internet access begins here.
Busy moving house.
Packing, moving and unpacking! Tiring!!!

March
Still without internet access.
Settling down in this new place.
Love it so much, really enjoy myself having my own space.
Well... the price of all these "luxury", I have to wake up earlier to clean the place, make sure everything in the house is on order.
Sometimes, just can't spend time outside so much like how I used to be because I have different responsibilities now.
Involved in the Easter Musical Drama, going for practices took up lots of my time too, but I enjoy it and it's something I really enjoy doing.

April
Got myself internet access. :-)
This month will be a busy month for me too.
There will be performance for the Musical Drama for 2 weekends.
I'll be going to Bintulu, Sarawak for another weekend.
So looking forward to the drama play and also the trip! :-)
