Juan See's Birthday

Last Saturday was Juan See's 2oth Birthday. She wanted to watch the movie so badly, so 14 of us went for the movies together. It's starred by Andy Lau. I think Juan See likes him very much as once Andy Lau appear in the big screen, she straight away say, with a very admiring tone, "He's so handsome!!". That makes me laugh. It is a very touching love story and it makes most of us, or rather I should say all girls and "Kok Kxxx" cried so badly. The funniest thing is that when the movie was over and all of us walked out from the cinema, all our eyes and noses were red. We need a lot of tissues and we definitely need to go to the ladies. This is also the first time Aftab went to watch a Cantonese Movie. I was quite worried that he might not enjoy it but he say "the subtitles were very meaningful" haha...and he loves it.

After the movie, we were all so hungry as we still haven't have our dinner. We went to have something in the new Gurney Drive hawker stalls. Due to today is Juan See's birthday, the light there were so happy that it keeps shining. Only those who were there can understand what I say.

After dinner, we went to the beach behind Crown Jewel Hotel. We brought her a cake and when we were singing the birthday song for her. The fireworks started to burst into the dark sky and it was so beautiful. That was a surprise for her. They actually brought her fireworks, which means we did something illegal on her birthday just because of her. That moment was really so touching and unforgettable, at least for me, as that was my dream to have fireworks just for me. I love fireworks. It was simply so beautiful.

Then we took a couple of photos. Here's 3 of us -- the birthday girl Juan See, myself and Yueh Ching.

Here's all the girls, I mean pretty girls...

After the whole event, Juan See sent me a sms to say that she appreciate what we did for her and thanks us. Just want to let her know that I do appreciate you as my friend, someone who listens to me. I am lucky to have a friend like you. All in all, wish you all the best in this coming year, and years to come. As for the short term wish, exam is coming, Study Hard and Study Smart ya!!!

All The Best to you....

Recognition

Recognition should be something that you ask for it or others give it to you willingly??? I have been thinking of this, what do you think?

As for myself, I always feel that when we are doing something or we are holding a position, we must do it for ourselves and with the purpose of learning something new or experiencing something new, we should have the purpose to get others recognition or to do it just for the sake of having recognised by others. What's the point of getting people recognition while you are not learning anything? Recognition will just last for a few seconds but the things that we learn and the experience that we get will stay in us for the rest of our life and it may also change us to become a better self. Why should we take recognition so seriously?

Recognition is just a way to show appreciation to others when we feel that they did something or achieved something. Recognition is for us to SHOW OTHERS we appreciate what they did, it's not something for us to STRIVE FOR. It should be something that we GIVE to others but not something that we are looking to RECEIVE from others.

In my opinion, to join Toastmasters club and to hold a position in the Committee team, it's a process for me to learn how to handle meetings, how to deal with people and so on... It's a way for me to learn and to improve myself. I do it just because I know by doing more things, I'll learn more. By facing more challenges, I'll grow more. I want to be involved in all things that I can, so that I'll get to learn as much as I can. It doesn't matter whether others will appreciate what I do or recognise what I do. If they did, it will be a bonus for me and an encouragement for me to do it even better. It's just an extra bonus for me. If they don't, I still didn't lose out anything, as the thing that I learn, the experience that I gain and the time that I spent will always be in my memory and I'll become a better self.

For example, the recent Hip Hop dancing that we had. I wanted to get involved just because I love dancing and I'll get to learn a new dance. I know I'll get to enjoy myself, have fun and also to bring us-the dancers closer in our relationship too... It's a fun way to get to know each other better. Even though I'm still a student and I need to bear the cost form my own allowance, I'm still willing to drive 44km every practise as I know I enjoyed myself and everyone is happy. It doesn't matter whether others will appreciate it or not or give me any recognition. The most important thing is I know I learn something, I know I enjoyed myself and have fun and I know I did my best.

In conclusion, I still think that recognition is not something for us to hope for as a reward of what we did. I always believe that if you want to do something for others, do it whole heartly and willing and don't hope for reward. If you are doing something for others just for the sake of the reward or recognition by others, might as well don't do it as it's not from your heart and you are not doing it just because you want to do it.

My favourite radio station-WA FM

Today I'm feeling so down. My favourtie radio station, or rather the only radio station that I'm hooked on to is closing down. Today is the last day for WA FM.

I never been so loyal to a radio station. Not that I choose to be loyal but almost all the programmes attract my interest so much that I can't choose not to listen to it. Before this, I never like to listen to radio station that much. I rather listen to cassettes or CDs. But now after I listen to WA FM, I seldom listen to my CDs anymore.

As most of you know, I have to travel from Butterworth to Penang alone almost everyday and most of the time I am in the car. So I'll tune into my favourite radio station WA FM. I used to dislikes listening to news or any political issues, but WA FM presents the news differently and I love it. I started to know more about the current issues and the ebst part is they allow us to call in and to express our opinion. It always makes me think more and to learn to express myself too. I did call in to speak for a few times.

Besides the informative program, it is entertaining too. Every morning from 7am to 10am, there will be 2 very experience and humor DJ KK and Chui Ling to share what's the main topic in the newspaper headlines in a very relaxing and funny way. That's the time I travel from Butterworth to Penang for my class.

At night after 10.30pm, there will be only songs, very nice and sentimental songs that you will feel so relax listening to it and it will also reminds you about a lot of memories with your family, friends and your love ones. That's the time when i travel back to Butterworth alone in my car. Before this, I used to drive very fast so that i can reach home faster. I normally drive 120 or sometimes 140mph because all the way from the Penang bridge to my house is all highways. But after listening to the radio, I love all the nice songs and so I tend to drive slower (not really slow but according to the speed limit, I'll drive 90mph on the highway...hehe...) so that I get to listen to all the songs and to relax myself.

Since yesterday, I kept trying to call in to express myself, my feeling to this incident of closing down. I tried so hard, I even called until 1am last night or rather this morning, but I still can't get in. It shows that there are so many more listeners like me who also feel the same way as I do. They allow listeners to call in and to say anything they want. Almost all of them feel so sad and some even cry, actually i really feel like crying too.

I don't understand why they allow a chinese radio station to close down so easily. WA FM is merely a radio station that provides happiness and information to the listeners but also a channel for us the public to express what is in our heart to the current issues or the government. It's our voice or rather the bridge for us to reach the government. Too bad, it's closed down now. We, chinese will not be having this bridge or channel anymore and it will be even harder for us to voice out our opinion.

It's really sad. How I wish I can listen to the station the whole day today but too bad that I still need to attend my class and teach tuition tonight. All the best to all the DJs in WA FM and hope that one day WA FM will come back again. Looking forward to that ONE day...

Hip Hop Dancing

Last night we had our first Hip Hop Dancing practise in SC Tee's club house.

We were shocked at first when our instructor Sin Yee started to demonstrate the steps. It's not easy. Our hands and legs are not listening to us and the coordination is tough. We thought that the steps are not easy to remember too. But after an hour or so of practise, we started to feel more comfortable and we really did enjoy ourselves. Practise makes perfect... (but nothing is perfect, why practise???) Just kidding...

Sin Yee has really put in her effort to teach us the dance and came prepared with all the steps in her mind. She even use chairs in the dance. It makes me think of something. Normally when the singer is performing on stage, there will be dancers dancing around them. Our dance last night makes me think of that... Wow...Wow...Wow...

Anyway, we did enjoy ourselves and had a lot of fun and laughter...Thanks Sin!!!

Got to know myself better!!!

Last night, I got to know myself better. I know what’s my weaknesses and I’ll try my best to improve on that.

When people keep asking me questions that should not be posted to me. When people wish to have answers for their questions but I can’t give them one. When I feel vulnerable having to be accountable for things that not supposed to be my area. I realize that I can’t work in situation like that. I can’t control my tears and my tears will not listen to me. I’m not sure why I want to cry(not that I WANT to cry), I should say I’m not sure why my tears will just rolled down. I hope to know why, but I simply can’t think of any reasons for me to cry. I tried hard to stop my tears from rolling down, but it just roll down and it’s out of my control. How I wish I can not to cry so easily.

I realize that I can’t work well in this situation. This is my weakness that I just found out. It makes me remember why I cried so hard after the Youth Camp in August. It’s also the same situation. People keep asking me questions that should not be posted to me and I don’t have the answers for all their questions, but they expect me to know and have the answers. This is the greatest challenge for me now. I must learn to overcome this.

I know I’ll still fast a lot of situations like this in future when I’m working. I need to learn this now. I need to learn to control my emotion, control my tears(if possible), and I need to learn to handle this situations better. Although I still haven’t figure out how to do so or when this kind of situation happen, what should I actually do, but at least I realize the need for me to change and to improve myself. Then only I can start to figure out the solution after I know what’s my problem.

I’ll still ask around and see whether anyone can share with me how they face or deal with this kind of situation. This is my challenge for this coming 3 and a half month as from now until end of the year, there will be a lot of events coming on, I’m sure I’ll have to face with this kind of situation. All the Best to myself…

Karaoke

Lynn Say came back from UM for a week. She's having her exam after the week so she needs to study. So coincident that Jonathan is also having his 1 week study week. Lynn Say, Jonathan I went to IPG main campus to study together while waiting for Eunice as she got class.

We went into an empty classroom to study. Half way study, some students came in and said that they are having class in the classromm so we have to move to another empty room. This went on and on, we had been changing classroom for quite many times. Until Eunice finished her class, we decided to go for Karaoke in Red Box, Gurney.

Although this is not the first time Lynn Say, Eunice and I went to Karaoke together(we used to have Paik Ing with us) but this is the first time Jonathan went to Karaoke. My best friends KaiLoon and ChiuSiang called and said that they were coming and they wanted to sing too. So I booked 2 separate rooms. But too bad they don't have rooms for 2 person so I have to book 3 person per room which mean I can't sing together with Lynn, Eunice and Jon as I have to be in the other room with KaiLoon and ChiuSiang. Nonetheless, I did enjoy myself although we only got to sing for 2 hours. The conclusion is next time we'll go to Star KTV unless we really have no choice only we'll come back to Red Box again.

After the karaoke, I wanted to watch the ghost movies "The Maid" but Lynn Say don't feel like watching ghost movie. So Lynn and Eunice went to shop while 4 of us went for the movie. It's a Singapore movie. It's nice. I love ghost movie and this is one of the few that I said nice and scary. Maybe because it's a Singapore movie, it's more local and it can really attract me and make me feel llike I'm in the movie. I shouted during the scary scene. It's a thumbs up from me.

After the movie, KaiLoon and ChiuSiang went their way while 4 of us walked for awhile wanting to hunt for something light to eat. There's a stall selling Mash Maro dipped and coated with chocolate at the basement. I bought one and it's yummy. I love mash maro and I love chocolate. That was really specially created and made for me. So perfect! Lynn Say bought a green tea ice-cream, I tried, which taste ok only. Then we bought a herbal egg each and sat on the wall opposite the Juice Up stall. We sat there enjoying the free music while peeling the hot egg. I peeled the fastest, maybe it's because I'm used to holding hot stuff.

After that, we went back home as Lynn has to fetch her sister from tuition. Afterall, the whole day was fun. we enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the fellowship together. It's always nice to go out with them. We know each others for years... let me think... at least 8 years, where Jonathan and Eunice know each other since they are in their mum's womb. We share our ups and downs together. (Oops, forgot to tell you that we know each other as we attend the same church.) I do appreciate our friendship and hope that we'll always be close to one another. Go...go...go!!!

Apprentice

This is the only TV program that I watch every week without miss. In my opinion, it's a very educational program. It teaches me the Dos and Don'ts when you are dealing with people or when you are leading a group of people. It teaches me the skills you need to be in the world next time. I learnt a lot through the program and I'm glad that I have my dad to watch together with me and get to discuss with him.

Last Sunday, it suppposed to be the final between Tana and Kendra, they finished the task but the results was not announced yet. I have to wait for another week for the results to be announced. I thought it will be a 2 hours show like the last season but I'm wrong.

But this episode, final between Tana and Kendra was very interesting. It's so obvious that Kendra is the winner and she deserves to be the Apprentice so much more than Tana.

In this final, both of them were giving a task to organise a big event with 3 of the most annoying teammates. Since the very first beginning when they saw who were their teammates, Tana starts to complain about her teammates and keeps calling them names like "dumb and dumber","idiot" and so on. I really can't stand her attitude. Actually her teammates like Chris wants her to won too, nobody wants to see her fail but she keeps saying that they want to make her lose. They were not contributing and so on. The whole event was a mess, all the other workers there keep complaining and asking her why this and why that. It's a big mess. The way she treated the New York Governor was also so wrong. The worst part is she blamed the teammates for all the errors and she didn't realize how badly she performed. She still thought that she did a great job and Donald Trump should hire her as the apprentice. She's so proud. She keeps saying that she did it, nothing to do with the group. She don't even want to stay close with her teammates after the event. She says let the workers go first, then only executive left. She didn't see them as people at that point. They were objects to her. She thought she's a level higher than them.

Where else for Kendra, she never complain about her teammates, she keeps them with a high-spirit. She quietly do what she should and delegate jobs to her teammates in a polite manner. All the sponsors and workers were so happy with her and even one of the sponsor wanted to hire her. At the end of the whole event, she keeps saying thank you to her teammates and she says that it's the success of the team. She's so touched that her teammates work so hard for her, even harder than last time when they were working for themselves. She even burst out with tears. She thanks them, hug them and say goodbye to them. She treats them as people and she values their effort.

It's such a big difference between this 2 characteristics. When Tana saw Kendra came home, Kendra told her she cried. Tana thought that she cried because of she can't handle the people and it's so tough to make the event a success, but to her surprise, Kendra told her that she cried because she's so touched to see their teammates respect her and really put in their effort. Tana underestimate others. She thought she's superior.

Without waiting for the results, I know who won but I still looking forward to next episod as I will like to see how the teammates comment about them.

My Best Friends

It has been a long time 3 of us didn't gather together. KaiLoon is studying in UM and he came back last Friday so we went out to Subaidah for supper. KaiLoon, ChiuSiang and I have been best friends since 14 years old. The only thing I miss about secondary school life is the time spent together with them.

We chat and exchange our stories. I always feel comfortable to share everything with them. Without them, I may not be who I am today. They are always there when I'm sad and down. They will stay by my side when I need them. I think they are the only ones who saw me cry real badly and saw me laugh real hard. I really treasure this friendship(I'll like to say that we are more than friendship, it's relationship) very much and hope that we'll continue to be with each another no matter what...

We chat about blog. I told them I'm having a new blog and ask them to visit when they have free time. I told them I learnt a lot throughout this blog and I enjoy myself sharing here. KaiLoon visited my blog before and he says he can't understand why I have so much to write here. He tried tohas his own blog but he always find it difficult to think of something to write. I never have this problem. My problem is that I can't find the time to write in this blog as I have too much to write.

I think this is the difference between a guy and a girl. Girls like to share or rather like to TALK... Girls can share every tiny little thing with others. Even it may be a very small issue for you guys but we can still have some thought on it and share it out. I dare not speak on behalf of all girls, but as for me, I like to let others know about my stories, what I did and what's my thought on that issue. I like to do a lot of thinking and I like to tell out what's in my mind. I like to share my opinion with someone. Therefore, I think by having a blog, it's a good way for me to learn to express myself. It's not easy to find a listener to listen to me whenever I have something in my mind, but I can always write it down and it's almost the same as telling someone as I'll get someone to comment on my thoughts here (although not many people will visit my blog and write their comments), anyway I still enjoy myself writing here...

Yippy! A soul saved!

My brother, Andrew Lee has a friend named Shin Yee. She has been joining our youth activities for several times. The first time is when we go for our outing, canopy walk on Penang Hill, then our BBQ in church and the 3 days 2 nights youth camp. Yesterday, she attended the McJesus Family Night meeting too.

At the end of the meeting, the speaker prayed the sinners prayer(a prayer made if you decided to ask God to forgive your sins and accept Jesus Christ into your heart to be your personal Saviour) and whoever who feels like doing it can follow together. After the prayer, everyone has to filled up a form. It's to let the church know what's your request, whether you need someone to share more to you, you need more materials or so on.

After collecting all the response slip and the meeting dismissed, my church elder passed me all the young people's response slip to follow up. I am so happy to know that Shin Yee has decided to accept Christ and be part of our big family. I shared this happy moment with my brother, Andrew and I know he's extremely happy too as she's his best friend.

I just hope that she'll continue to join us know more about what Christianity is all about. There will be a play "Runaway Bride" on 17th September in Sg. Nibong Gospel Hall at 7.30pm. I hope she'll be there...

McJesus

Last night, Bangsar Young People and the mission team came over to our church to share with us. Normally, when we have family night meeting like this we'll have pot bless dinner. As usual, we, the young people will get our dinner and eat in another corner in the church. We always enjoy having pot bless dinner together and have fellowship with one another. This is another opportunity whereby we get to stay close to one another.

The Bangsar young people play a short drama with the title "McJesus". It's a very meaningful drama but you can't really understand the play without explaination. The message behind this play is very strong and meaningful. It's about the distorted view about Christianity. Nowadays, a lot of people, even christian themselves are not clear about the whole picture.

There are 5 types of christian.
1st : Everyday they are chasing for the world, which means more money, more power and so on. They knew this is wrong so every Sunday they will go to church to release the feeling of guilt. By going to church will make them feel better as if "at least we still go to church" kind of thinking. After that, they will continue their life of chasing after the worldly things. This kind of christian go to church to release the feeling of guilt.

2nd : Nowadays people are so busy with their own activities that they don't have much time for God. They will go to church every week for 2 hours, that's the maximum time they are willing to spend for God. They go to church just for the sake of christian has to go to church. They will rush back home straight after the morning worship. Nothing more than that. This kind of christian go to church just for the sake of christian has to go to church and they are not willing to spend more time for God.

3rd : A lot of people, especially youngsters thought that you can easily be famous by going to church. They want to lead the singing in church and dream that they are a super star. They want to be recognised in the church as the best drummer or best guitarist and so on. They want to popular. This kind of people like the feeling of being on stage and looked upon by so many audience. This kind of christian go to church to get famous and to have the feeling of being famous.

4rd : There are also people who are willing to work very hard and spend most of their time for God. They will wash the dishes, sweep the floor or do any kinds of job. But after sometime, they will become proud and thought that they do more than other christians in the church. They started to feel that they were holier or higher than others. They will start to judge other christians and say "you see he didn't do anything for the church, he's not faithful" or so on... This kind of christian go to church feeling that they are stronger than others.

5th : This is the kind that Christians should be. We should seek for the original Jesus Christ. We should go to church to worship God and to have fellowship with Him. This is the most important thing. God creates us to have fellowship with Him, no matter how much you do in the church, how much time you are willing to spend to serve, it's back to the basic, how much time you have spent to be with Him, to spend quality time with Him.

This strong message strucks me. I learnt a very important lesson. I might not be so much of the 5th type before this. I thought I was doing fine. But now I realize that there are still so much for me to learn. I know what should I do. I should look for Him, not for other stuff.

The closeness is BACK!!!

After the youth camp 2005 on 22nd-24th, I felt that the relationship between our young people in church has a gap. Maybe because during the camp, we were so busy that we rarely talked to each another and some of the times we were unhappy with one another because our ways of doing things are so different. Even last Sunday, we were still so tired and we were still busy settling all the matters, we didn't get together at all.

I was quite worry as I will not want to see our relationship become like this. We were friends since young(when I'm 12 years old) til now. We know each others for so long and we were like family members. I really don't wish that we'll become like this after a camp. As the youth leader, I think I'm accountable to it and I need to take the responsibility to restore the relationship between all members too.

Yesterday Sunday morning, I was so happy. We gathered together and chat as usual like how we were always. We were forgiving to one another as we knew how important the relationship were. Although we didn't express it out but we can all feel that we want to be close again. We treasure the relationship, the closeness and the bond very much. This special day, we were close again and we know that we'll always want this relationship to be close and appreciate each another.

Yeah....I am so happy. The closeness is BACK!!!

Indian Wedding Dinner

Last Saturday, I attended an Indian wedding buffet dinner. It was very grant. They held in front of their house. They had loud speaker, buffet with ice-kacang, DJ, 3 layers high cake, beer, video recording and so on. The bride was not wearing the traditional sari but the wedding gown that we chinese normally wear.

The funniest part is when the DJ represents the host to show gratitude to all chinese friends who attended(most of the guests were chinese) by playing a chinese song for us. But the chinese that he played was about separation of a couple and it's a very sad song. It's not suitable for a wedding song at all. They didn't know the meaning of the songs and they didn't even find out what's the lyrics was saying before playing it just like that.

It's true that nowadays people do things without a purpose. They didn't know why they are doing it. They just do it for the sake of doing it. Just like this wedding song, they choose this song just because it's a chinese song and they played it just because they want to play a chinese song.

Most of the time we are like that too. We work just for the sake of working, we have to work, everyone work but we didn't know what's the purpose for us to work so hard. Just like our life, most people think that we live on this earth just for the sake that we were born. Our purpose is just to finish the whole process of life, birth-grow-study-work-married-family-sick-die. Is it so? If life's purpose is just like that, I think it's so sad and I don't want this kind of life.

I'm so happy that I know what's my purpose of my life. To know why an object was invented, we must ask the inventor of that object. To know what's my purpose of life, I must find the inventor of me which is God. I found Him and He gave me purpose to my life. I know my purpose of living and I'm glad that I'm not just fooling around in this earth but I have a mission to accomplish. Thank God for letting me realize my purpose of living.

Advance Manual Roadshow Workshop

Last Saturday, I went to PSDC to attend an advance manual roadshow workshop organised by Bayan Baru Toastmasters Club. I went there alone. I was happy and proud of myself as I can find the place so easily. (I know to many, it's an easy task, but for me to drive in an unfamiliar place and to find for a building that I hardly remember is a very difficult task)

They introduced us to 15 of the advance manuals. They told us what's the objective of the manuals, what's the 5 assignments in each manual and how to do it. There were also speakers to speak on an assignment in each manual. I learnt a lot. I got to know more about the advance manuals. I always find it difficult to choose a manual to start with. I have only 2 more assignments to go to finish my Advance Toastmaster Bronze, I'll have to choose 2 more manuals for my Advance Toastmaster Silver. After attending this workshop, I know which 2 I want to choose now.

Most of the manuals are technical or management speech, you need to be working then only you know how to do the speech. So as for me, I'm still studying so I was totally lost and have no idea how to do a technical or management speech. So there were only limited choice for me.

I also realize one thing. Most of the technical or management speeches, you need to deliver a speech sharing about an issue or a subject that you are really familiar in and as at the end of the speech, there will be a Q & A session whereby you will have to answer the audience questions. They might ask anything regarding to the topic you are sharing and you have to answer it immediately.

After some thinking, I realize that I don't even have a topic or subject that I'm really so familiar with that I'll feel comfortable and confidence to share it and welcome all questions. Should it be a sad thing? The only subject that I know better and I welcome any kinds of questions will be about Christianity or my Almight God. This is the only subject that I can answer impromptu questions. As most of the time, I'll be facing with a lot of questions when I share Christianity to my friends or non-christians. I think I can manage it after so many years of answering all kinds of questions. This is the only subject that I'm not afraid of people asking me any questions and I can try my best to answer.

Now I must really find out for myself what's the subject or topic that I know best or rather I must do more reading and be more knowledgable.

Paper 3.1 test

Paper 3.1 is a tough paper. I have to study all the International Auditing Standard. It's really a lot. The worst part is our lecturer teaches more than 1 standard per lesson. I never get to catch up. It takes me a long time to really understand a standard.

Another thing is we have a test every 2 weeks. So since I still haven't study until where the lecturer stops, you can imagine how much I know to answer the question. As for the last test, it was a 15 marks questions and it's really tough. It's just a sentence and we have to discuss and make a conclusion based on that sentence. Everyone was stunt when the lecturer tell us the question. So I just simply write what I know and this is the shortest answer that I ever produced in all the tests.

Today our lecturer return us our answers. She says out of 15 marks, the highest is 6 and only 2 person got it. The average mark for the whole class (18 of us) is only 1. So I thought I'll be one of those. Who knows when my lecturer past me my answers, surprisingly I got 5 marks, which means the 3rd highest in class. Haha... So happy!!! I wanted to laugh out loud but I can't as most of my friends are sad with their results, so I can't or rather I shouldn't laugh. My lecturer also write down in my answer script "good point but insufficient", I was just scrapping through and she says good point. hehe... How can I not laugh??? Even now I am laughing.

But I know I should not compare it with others but with my own. I should try to do better next time, which is 2 weeks from now, as I know which area I'm not sure in and which area I should focus more on. It's stressing to know there are so much to study. I'll just take it slowly according to my own pace or else I'll really be so stress. I'll just try my best and like what KK Chee once told me, when someone ask how are you today, we answer "better than yesterday!" so I hope that every test will be better than the last test.

Ideal guy and Jerk

I just remember my conversation with YaoTung the other day commenting about a post that I wrote in my last blog-my ideal guy. He makes me realize a lot of facts and wakes me up.

Just to explain my definition of ideal guy and a jerk first.
Ideal guy is someone who can share your life with, support and encourage you no matter what you want to do, share your problems and try to solve it together, very honest and straight(some say blur or wood), he will be a good husband but he might not be a good boy friend.
Jerk is someone who might not agree or support whatever you want to do, he might wants to control you, but he definitely is romantic and sweet, he will buy you things that you have your eyes on for more than 1 minute, he knows every little tiny thing about yourself, he always makes you so happy and feel so lucky, he will not be a good husband, but definitely he's a great boy friend.

Young girls will look for a jerk as they are looking for the "being loved" or "madly in love" feeling.
Jerks will let them have this feeling but this will not last long as when girls become mature around 25 years old, they will be looking for an ideal guy that can share their life with and support them as they need someone to be more realistic than to be lovy lovy.

So now I'm stuck in between young girls and mature 25 years old. What do I want? A jerk or an ideal guy? I have met both. I don't want a jerk as I need someone who can understands me, support me and encourage me when I'm doing things that I like such as Toastmasters and my church activities. I don't think I want an ideal guy which is so wood either, I'll still like to be loved deeply and occasionally be romantic and sweet.

I asked : Is there the third type of guy which is in between? who has the characteristics of both an ideal guy and a jerk? Sadly, the answer is NO or maybe I should say RARELY. Guys around the age of 20s will be either type. So now I know the reason why I'm alone, not because I can't find a guy but there's no such a guy that I'm looking for. I'm actually looking and waiting for nothing. The problem is with myself.

But what to do? I can't just accept a jerk or an ideal guy right? It's not what I want or what I'm looking for. After some thinking, I have made the decision, I'll look for the RARELY happen miracle and if it does not happen, by that time I'll be 25 years old and I'll be looking for an ideal guy. Then I'll surely find mine. I'll rather wait than to simply accept one. I know that God knows who's the best for me and when is the best time that I should get mine. I'll wait patiently and have faith in Him to get my PRECIOUS.

Career

Thanks AiLin for your comment. This is what I heard from the speaker. He said if we straight away start in Hotel line,(by the way, I'm in the accounting or finance field), we'll only learn the hotel stuff as hotel accounting is very specialize, so you won't get to learn other knowledge. If you want to move to another sector, it will be a bit tough as you will need to learn everything again as the knowledge that you learn in hotel sector is very specialize and it can only be used in the hotel side. This is what they say so I'm worry about it. I hope this is not true.

All About My Dog

Last night, I went for a movie with YaoTung, Ashley and Miwako. YaoTung introduced us to this international Japanese movie "All About My Dog". Without knowing anything about the movie, four of us went inside to watch it.

The starting of the movie is really funny, it makes us laugh and wonder what type of movie is this. Feeling a bit weird and started to think whether I'll regret for watching this movie. But after that, the story started to be touching.

It's a touching story, saying about a little boy and a dog. How they become close to one another. When the boy leave the town, how badly the dog wants to find the boy. And the conclusion of the story was also very touching whereby they show a conversation or rather the feeling or diary of a girl to her dog, then from the view of the dog to her owner. The way they film it is so touching and it really touches our heart.

I can't control my tears especially the ending part but when I saw Ashley walked out, I burst out with laugher. His nose and eyes are red. He cried badly. Haha... Ashley, sorry for laughing. I don't mean it, just that I never knew you are such an emotional person. I think I'm getting to know you better ya!!

Anyway, it's a worth watching movie... Hope you will like it too...

Unagi

At last, after so many months, I get to have dinner in Sushi King again. That was once Steven and my favourite dining place. Sushi King is having this unagi fever promotion which really attract my attention as I always loves unagi. But when I reached there and saw the menu, since it's the last day for the promotion, everything has finished. A bit disappointed. So I'll just have what I normally have, the unagi set. It's still so yummy!!!

My ex-classmates Chun Yong

Yesterday afternoon, my ex-classmates which I had not contacted for months suddenly sms-ed me and asked whether I'm in Penang. He wanted to come out for a drink. So I told him to wait for an hour and I'll come over to Penang as soon as possible. We met in gurney McD and we chat.

He changed course from ACCA to Fashion Designing, something he likes most. I mean once oyu see him and his taste of dressing up, you knew he'll do great in that field. He's very busy after he took up this course and almost everyday he'll do his assignment. Although he's so busy but I kow he's enjoying himself as he's doing something that he really likes. I think this is very important. As long as you like it and you are happy, it doesn't matter whether it's tough or tiring. You'll still like it.

I'm happy to know that he found his field and he's doing something that he likes so much. The most important thing is to be happy. All the Best to you Buddy!!

Good girl

Since I have nothing to do on this holiday and noone at home except me and my dad, I decided to have lunch with my dad. It has been a long time both of us didn't really spend time together or have lunch together. I can't even remember when was the last time. After I suggest this to my dad, I know he's so happy to say yes.

So both of us went to have something good for our stomach. We went to Top Taste, a quite famous western food restaurant in Inderawasih, Perai. We chat a lot and get to know each other better. But actually is to let my dad know more about me, as usual father don't normally share their stuffs with their kids. Most of the time, I'm the one telling him what's happenning with me and he will just listen and give useful advice. I told him how's my experience in Toastmaster and share with him what I learn after almost 3 years and what's my plan. I also told him about my studies, which paper I'm in now and what's my plan for the future, which sector I want to go in. He'll just listen and gives advice or his opinion. It's really a wonderful conversation with him.

Then we went to my grandma's house. She's home alone so it's great to know that we did what we should, to keep her accompanied and talk with her. This is what she longs for. She asked about Steven too. I told her how's his condition and after she heard all the stories, she's feeling sad and she can't understand why Steven wants to go so far to study when he can just do it here. She keeps saying that he must be suffering over there and so kesian...

It's really great to spend time with your family members and had a wonderful conversation together. It's really wonderful!!!
